What lengths did you go to?

A Smith College applicant glued words to a Scrabble board trumpeting her attributes. A Tufts University hopeful designed a neon-green flower made of duct tape. And a teenager desperate to get into Harvard sent in a homemade chocolate replica of the school’s Veritas shield.
This article from The Boston Globe details some of the crazy things students are currently doing to get into college. I know most of us have only recently left college, but did anyone do anything particularly crazy to get in? Also, which do you think is worse, trying to get into college or trying ot get your first job?
