8:30 – 8 Mile (VH1)
Take a trip with me, back to 2002 when Detroit-chic was everywhere and Eminem wasn’t addicted to painkillers. Also featuring Mekhi Phifer and Kim Basinger as herself.
10:00 – Breaking Bad (AMC)
IIn a huge shift of character type, Bryan Cranston (the dad on Malcolm in the Middle) is Walt White, a cancer-stricken high school chemistry teacher who starts cooking and selling meth – and simply won’t stop trimming his body hair at the breakfast table! Ha ha!
Late Night
Letterman has Sarah Michelle Gellar (remember her?), Dan Patrick (remember him?), and Ringo Starr (oh, come on, he’s dead for sure). Conan’s in a week of reruns from when he went to Chicago in 2006, and tonight’s has Adam Sandler, back in his creative Click heyday.
