Week in Review

Posted by Josh in , , , , , ,

So I go away for a few days and look what happens. The place is a mess, there isn’t any food left, and… Is that a goat?

Goat

GOAT: Baaaah

Seriously though, Jeff did a great job covering for me while I was down in New York. He dramatically improved the quality of the morning graphics and covering the news apparently killed him. Find out the rest of what happened this week after the jump:

OMG TV: Presidential flashcards?

Posted by Jeff in , , , , , , , ,

I’m afraid I need to start with some really terrible news: due to NBC being an absolute corporate whore, Will “G.O.B.” Arnett is no longer the voice of KITT in the new Knight Rider. He’s being replaced by Val freakin’ Kilmer, who has ballooned to such proportions that he’s really only suitable for voiceovers. At least this might free Arnett up for the rumored Arrested Development movie. Onward!

The Oneders8:30! – That Thing You Do! (E!)

Screw you. This movie is fantastic. Steve Zahn at the top of his game, an ambiguously-sexually-oriented Tom Hanks, and look! There’s even a cover band!

9:00 – Lost (ABC)

One of the castaways has the chance to win a million dollars when special guest Regis Philbin winds up on the island! A must-see new episode.

9:00 – Syriana (HBO Signature)

George Clooney’s fingernails had it coming. Stupid sexy Clooney.

Late Night

While Vince Vaughn was famous enough for Letterman last night, his buddy Jon Favreau can only rate a Ferguson appearance tonight. The delectable Kate Hudson is on Dave, as is Jack Hanna (though maybe as a retrospective or something? Didn’t he get a stingray through the chest?).

OMG TV: Lost Lost Lost Lost Lost Lost

Posted by Jeff in , , , , ,

Lost Survivor7:30 – The Weather Man (Showtime)

Nic Cage is great in the 2005 Academy Award winner for Best Use of Camel Toe.

9:00 – Lost (ABC)

Watch some flabby naked gay guy and an ex-army colonel fighting for a million dollars. Or something. God, I hate this show. (Note: It’s preceded by some dumb special called “Lost: Past, Present, and Future”, but I will bet this entire blog that there is absolutely nothing new about the future revealed.)

9:00 – Futurama: “Time Keeps on Slipping” (Comedy Central)

One of the best episodes of the series, and I’m not just saying that because of my Harlem Globetrotters fetish. Okay, maybe I’m just saying that because of my Harlem Globetrotters fetish.

Late Night

Eva Longoria Parker, fresh off of her marriage to Spider-Man, is on Letterman. Julia Louis-Dreyfus is on Ferguson. There’s a definite chance of the two of them making out in my dreams tonight as well. (Letterman and Ferguson, that is.)
