Results are impending and I need to get out of work so I can get home in time to hear sweet nothings from Chris Matthews (and hopefully squeeze in some phone banking). However, let’s take a quick look back over the past year to highlight some of our coverage of this historic election.
The Beginning
Our first morning news ever, on December 13, 2007, mentioned Barack Obama. Also hilarious photos of MLB stars looking worried. I like to imagine them saying it in a Scooby Doo voice. (For those who are curious, our first post ever was about Speed Racer! What’s up with that?) January 14, 2007 was the first time we every consolidated into an “Election 2008″ tag. That post kinda sucked though. Surprise surprise.
The long, strange trip continues after the jump.

So I go away for a few days and look what happens. The place is a mess, there isn’t any food left, and… Is that a goat?

GOAT: Baaaah
Seriously though, Jeff did a great job covering for me while I was down in New York. He dramatically improved the quality of the morning graphics and covering the news apparently killed him. Find out the rest of what happened this week after the jump:

Until the Break of Dawn – Super Tuesday coverage (Everywhere)
Democracy!!! Can you FEEL it??? We here at 2.0somethings are pumped for hours and hours of endless coverage – and it don’t stop til the last California vote is in! Our recommendation: MSNBC. Olbermann and Matthews are dynamic, sardonic, and, let’s face it, ballsy. Not going to get that from those virtual reality weirdos over at CNN.
9:00 – House (FOX)
The last new House until the end of the strike features a woman who converts to Hasidic Judiasm and falls suspiciously ill. Apparently the Hasids are the new Scientologists.
Late Night
Matthew McConaughey talks to Dave about his interpretive dance influences and Ferguson tries to figure out a way to ask Amy Ryan what it’s like to be an unattractive actress. Look for the words “authentic” and “real” to be thrown around. The Daily Show and Colbert are bound to have some silly speculative Super Tuesday coverage, up to date as of… five in the afternoon. Hrm.

Super Tuesday is finally here. I know all of you sprung out of bed with barely concealed democratic fervor. For Super Tuesday coverage, all of the papers have finally decided to answer basic questions about it. Took them long enough. The New York Times has an interesting and extremely readable breakdown of everything they have been saying in newspaperese for the past week. The BBC has an interactive map, because the internet CAN! the Los Angeles Times goes with a Q&A style article. Overall these are good reads that should give you a solid understanding of everything involved in the primary. If you really can’t deal with reading, then just take my word for it that the whole primary process is a mess.
According to the Los Angeles Times, Generation Y lives ungody depressing lives but we see voting as a vehicle of change. Apparently, the Times thinks all it takes to win our votes is rappers, blogging, and making government “cool” again. Vote Soulja Boy!
You should go vote. If you don’t know where to vote, just google, “Where do I vote (name of your state)” and that should bring up a web site that clues you in.
