OMG TV: Hosers! Eh!

Posted by Jeff in , , , , , , , , , , ,

dudley_doright 9:00 – The Office (NBC)

The Office goes to Canada!  Eh!  Ha ha!  Eh!

9:30 – 30 Rock (NBC)

Some people will try to tell you that tonight’s big grab for ratings is guest star Jennifer Aniston.  But I’d say it’s guest stars “the cast of Night Court.”  Ben Silverman works in mysterious ways.  Except for canceling My Own Worst Enemy, that was pretty predictable.

10:30 – The Sarah Silverman Program (Comedy Central)

Sarah’s pregnant!  I’m hoping for a Juno takedown, but I will settle for anything classier than wire hanger jokes.

Late Night

Bruce Willis arm wrestles with Letterman, Anderson Cooper is a digital “tomogram” on Leno, Paul Rudd and – more importantly? – John Stamos have a tea party on Conan, Bill O’Reilly hopefully sticks around for the toss on the Daily Show, and Stephen Moore talks the economy on Colbert.

OMG TV: Running late edition

Posted by Jeff in , , , , , , , ,

Okay, okay here’s your gosh darn TV shows:

8:30 – Kath & Kim (NBC)

9:00 – The Office (NBC)

9:30 – 30 Rock (NBC)

Oprah got Obama elected, now she’s going to get 30 Rock elected.  To what, you ask?  The Pantheon of Shows.  It’s like the Hall of Fame for TV shows.  It exists.  Really.

10:00 – It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia (FX)

Late Night

Ben Stiller discusses the artistic merits of Madagascar 2 on Letterman, Julia Louis-Dreyfus goes newly adventuring on Leno, Elvis Costello is eternally cool on Conan, Paul Rudd is strangely likable on the Daily Show, and Rachel Maddow crosses network lines to show up on Colbert.

OMG TV: In which I objectify actresses from NBC sitcoms

Posted by Jeff in , , , , , , , , , , ,

8:30 – Kath & Kim (NBC)

Shamelessly dumb and painfully brightly colored, Kath & Kim is my guilty pleasure these days.  Selma Blair being smokin’ doesn’t hurt.

9:00 – The Office (NBC)

There’s only something like two episodes left with Amy Ryan, which is extremely sad.  Savor every last minute of it.  The real question about tonight’s Halloween themed episode is: can Pam top her super hot cat costume from a couple seasons ago? (Note: way hotter than this weird sketch I found online is makes it seem.)

9:30 – 30 Rock (NBC)

Sweet sassy molassy, 30 Rock is back!  Oh happy day!  This is tremen– oh, it’s the episode we all watched online a week ago.  Hmm.  Well… at least we know that it’s a good episode?  (And that Tina Fey is hot?  Yessss, three for three.)

10:00 – Life on Mars (ABC)

My favorite new show of the fall season, even putting aside my tremendous love for the original BBC version.  Travel back to 1973 New York City, back when Harvey Keitel looked… well, exactly like he does today, I guess.  Man he’s a ragged looking dude.

Late Night

Ashley Olsen is forced to eat a gosh darn sandwich already on Letterman, Christina Applegate is our favorite recent breast cancer survivor on Leno, Jada Pinkett-Smith discusses being the Fresh Princess on Conan, Bill Kristol annoyingly smirks on The Daily Show, and badass rock band Wilco tears it up on Colbert.

OMG TV: CSI Hanoi

9:00 EST- The Office/30 Rock (NBC)

For the first time in a while, “The Office” has an episode where Andy will feature prominently – perhaps they are begunning to set up a plotline designed for a spinoff?

You know its a season finale of “30 Rock” when you have a big-name guest star (Matthew Broderick), the return of a popular recurring character (Edie Falco) and the possibility of a cliffhanger ending (Liz being pregnant or Jack not being able to get back his job at GE).

10:00 EST – LOST (ABC)

It’s “LOST” – either you love it or you hate it at this point. John Locke-heavy story tonight so expect lots of mystical crap that is never explained. Also, there will be flashbacks as opposed to the flash forwards we have been seeing. This is the penultimate episode of the season which means it will probably be a lot of setup.

9:00 EST – CSI (CBS)

Tonight’s episode of “CSI” has been written by the writing team of “Two and Half Men.” I guess the team from “CSI” is writing next Monday’s “Two and a Half Men.” Don’t networks usually do that gimmicky shit with shows that arn’t doing well?

LATE NIGHT

Stewart has David Perlmutter (I think this one) and Colbert has Ariana Huffington. Leno has the dreamy, funny and down-to-earth Jenna Fischer while Letterman goes in the opposite direction and has Paris Hilton. Conan has Emile Hirsch and Ferguson has Emily Deschane.

OMG TV: Costa Rica or bust

Posted by Jeff in , , , , , , , , , , , ,

9:00 – The Office (NBC)

According to New York magazine, Toby won’t be back after his fence hopping adventures last week.  And that is a damn shame.  Fare thee well, fair HR rep of the night.

9:30 – 30 Rock (NBC)

Tina Fey is #1 at the box office, and we’re rewarded by the reappearance of the Floydster!  In honor of the man last seen traipsing off to the Cleve at the end of last season, here’s your Jason Sudeikis random fact of the day:

[Sudeikis] also plays the role of extreme right-wing talk show host Richard Bastion on the fictional radio station WKTT, in Grand Theft Auto IV.

Wow!

10:00 – Lost (ABC)

Lost lost lost?  Lost!  Lost lost, lost lost lost lost.

Late Night

John Goodman tries to eat Bear Grylls on Letterman, Robin Williams tries to make Terrence Howard smile on Leno, Sigourney Weaver‘s on Conan, Helen Hunt continues her nonstop press junket onto Ferguson, Diddy‘s on Kimmel, Howard Dean‘s on Stewart, and Colbert has some author.
