After the dust had settled, Senator Hillary Clinton emerged victorious in yesterday’s primaries. Even though they are still counting votes, she won primaries in Texas, Ohio, an Rhode Island. Senator Obama won the Vermont primary, and it seems likely he will win the Texas caucus which give out 35% of Texas’ delegates. Even with the large number of delegates she won in Ohio and Texas, Senator Clinton hasn’t taken the lead in total delegates (many say it would be impossible for her to win in pledged delegates at this point). What these wins have done are blunt calls for her to drop out of the race. Most of the exit polls show that going negative worked to stop Senator Obama’s momentum in time. Now everyone is looking ahead seven (that can’t be right) weeks to the Pennsylvania primary. No one really knows if continued months of campaigning is good or bad for Democrats.
